| THe Bishop-Ulama Conference has launched the book " Visions, Voices, and Values: People's Platform for Peace in MIndanao." The book presents the consolidation of findings generated from the multi-sectoral consultations conducted by nine (9) Research Institutions in Mindanao. Notre Dame University through its Research Center, is one of the partner-institutions identified by BUC to engage in this project named- Konsult Mindanaw.
The book launching was done at Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU) on January 30, 2010. More than fifty (50) stakeholders from the different government agencies, media, non-government organizations, academe, and others attended this activity. The book presents the people's platform for peace in Mindanao namely: sincerity of the GRP-MILF panels in handling the peace process; security to address people's fear of all kinds of violence; sensitivity to recognize the many hurts people experience ranging from the effects of historical injustice, to discrimination, misrepresentation, neglect, and culture blind governance and development programs; solidarity a collective action of different groups for the sake of common good; spirituality peace can only be lasting if there is healing through dialogue and consultations with faith in the Almighty; and sustainability to account for the institutional requirements to support these various efforts.
